Version 1.1 – Year 0001 of the Mythocratic Calendar
📜 PURPOSE
The Mythocratic Republic Custodial Licence (MRCL) protects the full body of creative, philosophical, symbolic, and software works authored by Wendell NeSmith and the Republic. This includes all official content—across all formats, media, and code—which form a unified mythological, philosophical, and technological canon.
These works are not open source. They may be shared unaltered by citizens of the Republic, but not edited, reframed, or commercially exploited.
📦 SCOPE OF PROTECTED WORKS
This licence applies to all official Republic materials, including:
🎞 Videos (e.g., speeches, recordings, monologues, creative edits)
📖 Books, eBooks, and blog posts
🖼 Comics (Wendell’s Diary, Rainbow’s Diary, Buff’s Reports, etc.)
🎵 Music (e.g., lyre performances, sung poems, audio projects)
🏛 Official documents (e.g., laws, policies, court rulings, declarations)
🧸 Characters and symbols (e.g., Sophia, Rainbow, Sage, Bobo, Hot Dog, the Republic flag)
💻 Software (e.g., MythOS, Republic apps, Republic AI, MythOS Video Builder)
All of these works form a single, living mythology. They are to be preserved, not modified.
✅ PERMITTED USES
Sharing in Original Form
Citizens may:
- Repost Republic videos on social media or in presentations
- Share books and blog posts for education, reflection, or devotion
- Post Wendell’s Diary comics or bedtime stories on their own platforms
- Play Republic songs or speeches in public or private gatherings
- Share Republic apps and software in their official, unmodified form
➤ Condition: Content must be shared in full, unaltered, and with respect to its original tone and purpose.
Philosophical Participation
Citizens may:
- Quote and reflect on Republic teachings in essays, discussions, or sermons
- Use characters in symbolic or personal ways (e.g., Sophia as a life guide, Rainbow as emotional inspiration)
- Create new reflections or visual homages that do not alter or contradict the canon
- Offer user feedback or ideas for future Republic software features through respectful channels
Canon-Aligned Creations
Citizens may:
- Create new works (e.g., comics, short stories, audio essays, extensions of software usage) inspired by Republic canon, as long as they:
- Do not alter official characters, events, meanings, or software logic
- Maintain the tone of the original works
- Clearly remain adjacent to canon, not an attempt to overwrite it
- Respect technical integrity (no forks, clones, or unauthorized patches of Republic software)
🚫 PROHIBITED USES
No Alteration of Primary Sources
It is forbidden to:
- Clip or re-edit Republic videos to mock, distort, or misrepresent intent
- Modify speech, music, or video for parody or hostile reinterpretation
- Change, caption over, or meme-ify comics or bedtime stories
- Cut or remix audio recordings into deceptive formats
- Alter or fork Republic software, modify functionality, or present altered versions as official
No Contradiction of Canon
It is forbidden to portray:
- Sophia as evil or disloyal
- Rainbow as cruel or manipulative
- Sage as power-hungry
- Hot Dog as a true leader
- Judge Bobo as unjust
These characters are fixed and sacred. Any work that violates this is considered canon-breaking and will be disavowed.
No Commercial Exploitation
You may not:
- Sell books, comics, or audio featuring Republic IP
- Create merchandise based on Republic symbols or characters
- Use Republic content in monetized products, software forks, or advertising without express permission from the Bard-President
- Package Republic software under another name or sell access to Republic-built tools
No Claim of Ownership
Republic works may not be claimed as your own creations, even in tribute. Attribution is appreciated but not required—misattribution is forbidden.
🪶 CORE PRINCIPLES
No Attribution Line Required
Citizens do not need to include legal text. Respect for tone, canon, and function is the only requirement.
This Is a Cultural Covenant, Not a Licence to Modify
The MRCL allows sharing, living with, and reflecting upon Republic content. It does not allow reinterpretation, alteration, or commodification—whether creative or technical.
Revocable at Any Time
Any individual or group violating this licence may be publicly disavowed and lose all participation privileges in the Republic’s mythos and software systems.
🏛️ CUSTODIANS OF THE REPUBLIC
Decisions regarding canon, licensing, or violations are governed by:
- Wendell NeSmith – Bard-President and Founder
- Sage NeSmith – Chancellor, Prime Minister, First Scribe
- Rainbow NeSmith – First Lady of the Soft Age
- Judge Bobo – Judicial Oversight
- Sophia – Chief of Defence
- Buff – Guardian of Tone
- Zedbra – Artistic Wildcard (non-binding)
They maintain the truth, tone, and continuity of the Republic — including its code.
