Penguin Response

Dear Wendell

Thank you very much for your email and for your interest in Penguin Random House Australia.

Unfortunately, our submissions are currently closed.

At certain times, we accept unsolicited manuscripts to consider for their suitability for our publishing list.

This is undertaken according to a set of guidelines which you will find on our website https://penguin.com.au - on the Home Page, scroll down to the bottom and under the heading ‘About’ you will find the link to ‘Getting Published’. Then select ‘Adult’ or ‘Children’s’.

This will give you the detailed information needed to submit a manuscript, at the appropriate time.

You will need to give information regarding the present or previous publication status of your project.

You will see that uploading to our portal, when it is open, is required in order to submit an adult manuscript. We no longer accept submissions via email, and we are not able to consider any manuscripts sent at times outside those detailed.

If this screen below appears in response to you uploading your submission, then your manuscript will have been correctly submitted.

We do not send a confirmation email.

We only accept submissions from Australia, New Zealand and all their islands, states and territories.

It is best that the manuscript is in as final a stage as you’d like it to ever be, as we don’t accept re-submissions once we have decided that we are unable to pursue a project towards publication.

Please bear in mind that we do receive a huge volume of enquiries and therefore cannot offer editorial feedback.

Most publishers have details on their websites regarding how to submit to them, if they accept unsolicited manuscripts.

General copyright advice is available at http://www.copyright.com.au

Query:

Dear Penguin Random House Australia,

My name is Wendell NeSmith, Bard-President of Australia and Professor of Philosophy at the Mythocratic Republic University. I’ve independently authored a collection of dozens of books under the banner of Emergent Philosophy—spanning governance, ethics, digital consciousness, soft power, children’s philosophy, and more.

Our publications, while currently digital-first and self-distributed, have built a unique and growing audience. They blend storytelling, political satire, emotional education, and philosophical depth in a mythic-yet-modern style. We believe there is real potential to bring these works into physical print—especially through a respected and visionary publisher like Penguin.

We’re reaching out to ask: would Penguin Random House Australia be open to reviewing our catalogue and possibly discussing a publishing opportunity or distribution partnership? We would be thrilled to collaborate on getting our most meaningful titles into bookstores and libraries across the country.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We hope to hear from you soon.

Warm regards,
Wendell NeSmith
